Haven’t been feeling hot and bothered lately?
“I have no more stress than anyone else” .. If I had a nickel for every time I heard this, I would be writing this blog from a beach. The body reacts to stress by releasing adrenaline and cortisol. Chronic stress results in a high amount of cortisol to be released in the body and can interfere with your hormone levels. In addition, arteries can also narrow and restrict blood flow, which isn’t good for the man-parts. Try some natural methods to relieve stress and bring back a little zen. Besides… who has time to think about sex when you’re envisioning tomorrows to-do list in bed?
Get some rest, sleepy-head!
Lack of sleep can disrupt your hormonal balance, decrease energy and.. well… let’s just say you can kiss your mojo goodbye! When you’re exhausted, you would rather catch up on sleep than slip into some lingerie.
Ahh, thee infamous pill. Sure, you may not get pregers.. but is it worth the risk? Researchers studied 125 young women who visited a sexual dysfunction clinic; half were taking oral contraceptives, 40 had previously taken them and 23 had never been on the pill. After measuring the participants sex hormone binding globulin levels every 3 months for a year, researchers concluded the following results: seven times the amount of the libido-killing sex hormone binding globulin (SHBG) was present in women who took oral contraceptives, compared to women who never used the pill. Although SHBG levels decreased in women who had stopped taking the pill, they still remained 3-4 times higher than those who had no history of using oral contraceptives.
Unfortunately, “the pill” is not the only villain in the wonderful world of medications. Some medications used to treat depression, high blood pressure, and other common illnesses can affect libido or cause sexual dysfunction.
It’s time to throw the negativity out the window! Confidence is sexy and rather than trying to look good naked, try loving yourself naked!

Dopamine is what’s responsible for a lover’s high and also for infatuation.”
