While some of us are pulling out our snow gear, others are frantically rushing to the computer to find the cheapest flight outta here. The world-renowned Mayo Clinic estimates that ten to twenty percent (and maybe more) of the population suffers from some sort of seasonal depression brought on by shorter days. Some estimates indicate there are millions of North Americans who suffer from a more extreme version of “winter blues” called seasonal affective disorder (SAD).
Don’t despair – there are many things you can do to beat the winter blues without packing up and moving to LA (c’mon, splish-splashing about is only amusing for so long). So other than dragging your ass outside and taking up a new activity, what’s a winter grinch to do?
